Hair hi-lights

Jenny put some hi-lights in my hair last night
I never did this before. Gee Whiz my head is very
sore today. I found out today you only use this kinda
goofy looking hat when you have short hair. Jenny
did a great job, even if it felt like torture. My hair was so
kinked together when we where done I thought maybe
I would have to get all my hair chopped off to get rid of
the tangles.Lost about 1pound of hair just combing
them out. I had tangled hair like that one other time in
my life, When I went on the motorcycle with-out a helmet.
I guess I got punished for not wearing a helmet. Live and Learn!

The Marble

Kristine was changing Alanna's diaper and she
said what is this?Mom come here! so I went and
looked. Yes she had a flat marble in her diaper.
That really scared me. Because she could have
choked on that thing. We cleaned it up with Clorox,
and I put it on my desk in a zip lock. I am making
a scrap book and I want to put it in there. Well......
I was working at my desk and Alanna came and
sat on my lap she kept saying this this... wanting
something on my desk. I just kept on with my work
all of a sudden she jumped off my lap and said
Thank-You Ga-ma. I see the empty zip lock! I jumped
up and ran after her. I laid her on her stomach and
I had to force my finger in her mouth to get that
awful marble out of her mouth. We had a lot of screaming
going on.She was determined to not give me that marble.
I finally got it out! but not without a fight. Little Stinker!

Yeah it's Saturday!

Saturday and I don't have any children in the house. So I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more.

Wow it seems like this week just dragged by. On Tuesday I was trimming the trees and bushes and a palm tree.Well the palm tree has very sharp needles on them, as I trim ed the last branch it came crashing down right on my shoulder, Oh my goodness the pain was incredible. We thing the tip of the needle broke off in my shoulder. The next morning I could barley lift my arm. So off to the DR again, seems lately I'm a regular there. Dr.put me on a very strong antibiotic and told me it would come out on his own. I begged her to try to get it out because I have heard of other horror stories about these needles. She didn't want to but she did try, She said she didn't find anything.Well today my shoulder is not feeling so great so I don't know what is going on.

Alanna is busy as ever, on Thursday I had her and Eva here well needless to say they keep me hopping. Before I go on those of you who know Mike know how picky he is, when I wash and fold his laundry I don't even put it away because he a certain way to do it. His closet is perfect. He knows where everything is. He even has his closet door opened just enough so that if someone opens it, he knows. Kristine an I found out the hard way:0. He puts a lock on his tool box so I can't get into it, Actually his tool box is cleaner then my kitchen drawers! He always knows where his shoes are, I don't! I am the only one that could ever eat a bite of food off his plate if you would he would push his plate away and quit eating. I bet some of you wish you had a husband does most of his own laundry. Well anyway to go with the rest of my story, I put Alanna and Eva in the bath tub, the two of them sit in there an play longer then I ever knew anyone would want to sit in the tub. Well while they where in there I proceeded to pick up the house that they had totally destroyed. When I walked in our bedroom I noticed that Mikes eye glass case was on the bedroom floor. Oh No! I went to Eva and ask her if Alanna had Mikes glasses and she said Yes! Oh My I started running through the house looking for Mikes glasses. Well they weren't upstairs. So I headed downstairs. I did find them under a Chest drawers in the living room. I ran upstairs got his special glass cleaner and took all those grimy little finger prints off. Opened up his sun glass case to see how he had stored them in the case. Put them in the proper place. So far so good! Mike came home about two minuets later. he hasn't said anything about his glasses being bend or scratched. WHEW!!

I'm tired!

I just want to praise all of you stay at home moms, hats off to all of you! It is incredible how a 23 month old and a 3 year old can wear you out. I am bone tired tonight. Alanna came at 7:00 and Eva came at 8:00. And we stayed busy busy all day. Swimming in the little green turtle, trimming bushes caring all the cuttings to the curb and they really did help me. We played on the swing set for awhile, and they love playing in the bath, so they had two really looooong baths. It is a lot of fun watching the two of them play they get along very well.Maybe because they don't see each other every day. And we made a hamburger casserole for dinner, I think it was called under ground casserole.Turned out really good. Then we made cinnamon rolls. Was really happy to have the girls here with me today, and just as happy to see their parents come pick them up!!!

Cinnamon Rolls

Eva is a great helper, when I'm in the kitchen
she always wants to help.

Putting brown sugar and cinnamon on the dough.

Finished product.

Alanna kept saying ummmm ummmmm

Why Women Cry

Why Women Cry A little boy asked his mother, 'Why are you crying?' 'Because I'm a woman,' she told him. 'I don't understand,' he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, 'And you never will.' Later the little boy asked his father, 'Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?' 'All women cry for no reason,' was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the 'phone, he asked, 'God, why do women cry so easily?' God said: 'When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.' 'You see my son,' said God, 'the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides.'

1st time driving the Jeep

All I can say is these two are not ready to drive
this little jeep, I laughed so hard I cried. They kept
running into things, Spinning wheels. If this is what
they are going to do when they are older I will not
let them drive. One had the wheel and the other

Monday, April 14th

Wow time goes by so fast,

Yesterday we had a baby shower for Kristine and Clay's Baby,She is due June 26th. They have decided to name her Sarah Grace. We are so excited! She got so many cute clothes and also a lot of diapers and all those things you need when you have a baby. And I forgot my camera (duh) Kristine told me she would make sure I would get some pictures. Thanks to Jenny, Kristine's best friend did all the planning and had the party at her house. Kristine is really excited to get everything set up now. My mom bought them a mattress for the crib. Thanks Mom! It will be interesting to see how things go with Alanna and the baby in the same room.

Wow it is really getting cool outside, I guess this is our last little cool down in Florida before it gets all hot and humid.yuk! I'm going to enjoy every little bit of cool we get.

Tomorrow I will have to go to the hospital again for EGD they have to do an upper endoscopy, seems they think I might be having some problems with my esophagus. I will put all my trust in the Lord and he will take care of me.Thanks God for his healing power.

Well as soon as I get some baby shower photos I will post them.

Been missing in action for a while

I haven't been doing much blogging for awhile, I was in the hospital for 3 days, they had to check out my heart,( It is in good shape) I woke up with an unbelievable pain in my chest thought I was having a heart attack,Went to Dr and had a irregular EKG. Still don't know why the irregular heart beat. I have to go see the Dr again on Wednesday, I think it might be my Gall bladder acting up, there are certain foods and drink that really bother me.After I got home from hospital my sister in-law Kelly and her son Aaron (16) and her daughter Becky(12) came from Missouri and stayed from Monday to Friday eve.Saturday Alanna and I went to the beach for a few hours, she loved it, very daring with the water though.Today Sunday I went to my sisters church because my nieces best Friend Brenda got baptized. After that my niece's Megan and Lori and my nephew Wesley wanted to come home with me. Katie ,Monroe and my dad came over too after a while. Wesley made apple crisp and Megan made pizza for dinner and both of them where very Delicious!!!!

Rife family

Kristine brought us dinner one night this week.
